What it is
Leveling gives members Discord XP for being active in your server: sending messages and spending time in voice channels. As XP builds up they reach new levels, and the bot can announce each one.
This is Discord XP, separate from RuneScape XP and from rank points. If you want Discord activity to count toward clan rank-ups, that is the Discord source in Set up rank progression.
It is set up in clan management under Discord, on the Leveling tab.
Set the XP rates

| Message Cooldown | The minimum number of seconds between messages that earn XP. It stops people spamming to level up. |
Announce level-ups

Customise the message
Under Message Customisation, write your own Embed Title and Embed Message. Leave either blank to use the default. Click a token to insert it:

The Live Notification Preview shows the result as you type. Reset to Default puts the wording back.
Choose how levels are worked out
Under Progression Mode, pick one.
Formula Mode
One formula sets the XP needed for every level. The default is:
50 * (L^2 + 2 * L + 2)
L (or level) is the level being reached. You can use +, -, *, / and ^ for powers. Reset Formula restores the default.
A steeper formula makes high levels take much longer. A flatter one keeps the gaps even.
Manual XP
You type the total XP needed for each level yourself, under Configure Level XP (1-50).
- Each level must need more XP than the one before.
- Manual levels stop at level 50.
Check your numbers
The Live Message & VC Estimator shows, for a range of levels, the total XP needed and roughly how many messages or voice minutes that is at your rates. Use it to see whether level 10 takes a week or a year before you save.
The estimates assume messages are sent outside the cooldown.

Reset everyone
Reset Levels wipes every member's Discord XP and level in your server. It can't be undone, so use it only for a fresh start.
Common problems
Nobody is earning XP. The bot needs to be able to see the channels people chat in. Check its permissions.
A member says they aren't gaining XP. Messages sent faster than the Message Cooldown don't count.
Level-up messages appear in the wrong place. Set a Level Up Channel. Without one they follow the member.
I changed the formula and levels jumped. Levels are worked out from each member's total XP. Changing the requirement moves everyone to the level their XP now earns.
