What it is
The Member Roster lists everyone currently in your clan, with one row per member. It is where you fix a record by hand: the things the site can't work out for itself, or got wrong.
The roster itself comes from RuneScape. Members appear when they join the clan in game and drop off when they leave. You can't add or remove people here.
Find a member
Type part of a name in Search and press Enter. Clear shows everyone again. Large clans are split into pages, with Prev and Next at the top.
What each column is for
| Column | What you can do |
|---|---|
| Member | Their current RuneScape name. Under it, Joined is a join date the site saw happen. First Seen means they were already in the clan when it was added to RSClanTrack, so the true date isn't known. |
| Current Rank | Their in-game clan rank. Read only: change ranks in RuneScape. |
| Rank Points | Their rank progression score. Type a new number to change it. |
| Discord ID | The Discord account linked to them. Paste an ID to link them yourself. |
| Alts | Other characters belonging to the same person. |
| Kick Override | Whether the inactivity rules apply to them. |
History on a row opens every point change for that member.
Correct a join date
Members who were in the clan before it was added to the site all share the day it was added. If you use time in the clan for rank-ups, that date is wrong for them.
- Find the member.
- Change their join date to the real one.
- Save.
A date you set by hand is trusted from then on and shown as Joined.
Change rank points
- Type the new total in Rank Points.
- Save.
The change is written to the points history as a manual adjustment, with your name. If it takes them past a rank target, they appear on the Promotions or Demotions list. See Rank-ups, demotions and kicks.
Link a Discord account
Normally a member links themselves by verifying in Discord. If they are stuck:
- In Discord, switch on Developer Mode, right-click the member and choose Copy User ID.
- Paste it into the member's Discord ID box.
- Save.
/staff member link in Discord does the same without needing the ID. See Set up member onboarding.
Tag an alt
Tagging tells the site two characters are the same person.
- Find the main character's row.
- In the Alts column, add the alt's name. A row with none shows None tagged.
What tagging changes:
- An alt skips rank-ups, demotions and inactivity kicks, unless Include Tagged Alts is on in your progression rules.
- An alt is still listed for a kick when its main is.
- Searching by an alt's name with
/staff member findfinds the main. - If you ban a member in the warning system, you are reminded about their alts still in the clan.
Set a kick override
| Button | Effect |
|---|---|
| Add Exemption | The inactivity rules skip this member until you remove it. |
| Remove Exemption | Puts them back under the rules. |
| Flag for Kick | Lists them for removal now, whatever their activity. |
| Cancel Kick | Takes them off the kick list and exempts them. |
For a planned break, use Leave of Absence instead. It ends by itself on the return date.
Smart Rename Detection
When a member changes their RuneScape name, the game shows it as one name leaving and another joining. With Smart rename detection on, the site compares the leaver's stats and rank with the joiner's, and if they match it treats them as one person. Their points, rank, history and Discord link carry over.
- It is marked Beta. A wrong match is rare but possible.
- If two different people are merged, contact RSClanTrack in Discord to have it reverted.
- The Name Change Discord notification only posts while this is on.
Common problems
A member who left is still listed. The roster updates when the site next reads your clan from RuneScape. Give it a little while.
A member has two rows. A name change wasn't matched, so the new name was treated as a new member. Contact RSClanTrack in Discord to have the two joined.
The Discord ID won't save. That ID may already be linked to another player, or the member has a verified website account, in which case they manage their own characters from their account settings.
A member's points changed and I didn't do it. Open History on their row. Every change is listed with what caused it.
