Before you start
- You need to be registered for the event. See Join an event.
- The event has to have started. Boards and task lists are locked until then.
- Have your screenshot ready. It should show the thing itself (the drop, the kill count, the level) and your RuneScape name.
Some tasks need no evidence at all. A task marked Tracked completes by itself when the site sees your gains. See Tasks that complete themselves.
Bingo: submit for a tile
On the website
- Open the event. Your board is under Bingo Board. If you are looking at another team's, press View My Board.
- Click the tile you have completed.
- Attach your screenshot, add a note if it needs explaining, and submit.
- The tile changes to Pending.
If the board hides its tasks, the tiles show numbers and you can't tell which tile is which. Use the Task List under the board: find the task and press Submit beside it.
In Discord
- Type
/event submit. - Pick the event, then the task, then attach the image.
- Add notes if you want.
Points: submit for a target
On the website
- Open the event and find Scoring Targets. Each target shows what it is worth.
- Press Submit beside the target, or use Submit Evidence > Submit for Review.
- Choose the target under Task Completed, attach a screenshot, add notes, and press Submit for Review.
- Your submission is listed under Your Submissions as Pending.
In Discord
Use /event submit exactly as for bingo.
The quick way in Discord
If your team has its own channel or thread for the event, just post the screenshot there. The bot replies asking which task it is for. Pick one from the menu within 5 minutes and it is submitted. Only the person who posted the image can confirm it.
What each status means
| Status | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Pending | Waiting for staff to look at it. | Nothing. The task is locked while it waits. |
| Done / Awarded | Approved. The tile is filled, or the points are on the leaderboard. | Nothing. |
| Resubmit / Rejected | Staff turned it down, usually with a reason. | Fix the problem and submit again. |
You hear back in your team's Discord channel if the event has one. Otherwise check the event page.
Tasks that complete themselves
Staff can set a task to be tracked. The site then checks your RuneScape stats every few minutes and completes the task when you have done enough during the event. There is nothing to submit.
Tracked tasks can count:
- XP gained in a skill
- Kills of a boss
- A particular drop
- Citadel caps
- A hiscore activity, such as clue scrolls
Boss kills and drops are read from your RuneMetrics adventurer's log. If your RuneScape profile is set to private, the site can't see them and those tasks will never complete. Make your profile public in the RuneScape account settings before the event.
Only gains made after the event starts count. Progress made beforehand doesn't.
Seeing how you are doing
- Bingo: your board shows how many tiles are complete and how many are pending. Staff and other entrants see the count of completed lines beside each board.
- Points: the Leaderboard on the event page ranks every entrant by points.
- In Discord:
/event boardposts your board, or a points event's leaderboard or task list.
Common problems
The Submit button isn't there. The task already has a pending or approved submission. In most points events each target can be claimed once. Some events allow repeats, in which case the button stays.
I can't see a task I was told about. Points events can reveal targets over time, and can deal each entrant only some of the targets. A hidden target appears when its time comes.
I submitted the wrong screenshot. Ask staff to reject it. The task unlocks and you can submit again.
My tracked task hasn't completed. Give it a few minutes, as stats are read on a schedule. Check your profile is public, and that the gains happened after the event started.
